Dirty Bird, show car???

This past weekend, the Asphalt Angels of Virginia put on their 48th annual "rod and custom" show at Mechanicsville. There were about 250 cars on display. Among them, in the "Competition" class, was Dirty Bird, our TA/FC (Pontiac V8). The show was FULL of Camaros (imagine my surprise) including a gorgeous '69 in "Competition" class (11 entries in the class). This is the only "show" we've ever entered the car in, since it's really NOT a "show car" but a balls-out RACE car! Well, Joe (Roberts, owner) now has a 4 1/2" trophy for 1st Place "in class" , to go with the other awards and accolades DB has received.

Maybe the words on the display board "World's fastest Pontiac-powered car" may have had SOMETHING to do with it... (:- We let small kids sit in it and have their pictures taken, too. It was a GRAND time!!!

Maybe my 81 Firebird with the underpowered 267 can win a trophy for the world's slowest Pontiac! hahaha!

Frayed knot... URR..... Nope. With a 267 in it, it's not a Pontiac, it's a "Cheviac"... Or maybe you mean "265"? Argh! Argh! Humor...
