98 cutlass problem plz help

i just bought a 98 cutlass and none of the gauges r working and the mileage thing is not working too i have checked all fuses and all r ok i have also replaced the cluster 3 times and 2 of them came out of good running cars does anyone know what could cause this the only thing that works is the airbag and check engine light and the dash lights everything else does not work plz help

Do you have 12v to the cluster to power it?

i,m not sure how do i check it?

ok i got my book and found the power wires acording to my book there is a orange and a purple and both wires lights up on the test light

ok i got it fixed the cluster has 2 ground wires and one wire must have a break in it i ran a new ground wire and everything is working great
