I have a 95 explorer and I need to replace the upper and lower ball joints on both sides. I am wondering how much the parts are going to cost and about how much time it takes?
Also, I have a "howl" coming from the rearend when i let of the gas and coast. I think its the bearing in the front of the rear end that the drive shaft kinda goes onto....wondering if someone knows exactly what this prob is and how much money and time it is?
thanks

Hello, I have a 95 explorer 2wd 4dr xlt. I had all my front end stuff replaced not too long ago; worn ball joints, etc.
I ended up going to a Tires Plus cause I have a friend who works there. So I go because of him but I don't get any kind of discount. Still much cheaper than Ford.
Anyway, cost me around $950 for everything. I even pulled out the invoice just for you :-)
Ball Joints Both Lower/Upper-Front - Upper control arms, lower ball joints, and labor - $900
Sway Bar Link Kits - parts and labor - $44
