01 EPD Starter turns but no ignition?

Seem to be a regular problem with the Expediton . My Battery good and turns the starter just fine yet the motor doesn't start/run. I've also noticed the theft light blinking . has anyone solved this common problem?

Have you tried another key? If another key does not work, have the modules scanned for codes. More than likely will need to be scanned at a dealer unless you know someone that has a high end scan tool.

update, i chkd all the cables for corrosion from the battery to the starter relay to starter and solenoid. i thought that helped but it still occasionally does not want to run. the starter spins just fine just no ignition/light off?

I tried a different key and that did not make a difference either.
i'll try cking for obd2 codes but right now i do not have a check eng light ON.

The light does not have to be on to read any codes. As I said, the security module may need to be read by a high end scan tool.
