While running around today in the snow in 4 wheel drive, I had a problem :-(
I was driving in 4 HI, and running fine. I pushed the 2HI button, heard the change over, and continued driving. I came upon straight blacktop, and continued driving. After about 5 seconds, the blazer started pulling to the right. I let off the accelerator, and it came grinding to a halt. It made some rough sounding noises when slowing down (girinding, bang).
Now when I hit the 4HI button, it clicks, engages, works, but makes a grinding noise from the front or near the middle it sounds like.
Am I completely hosed? :-(
Any idea's where I could start?

Start with looking for where the grinding is from.

Three things come to mind...brake caliper, hub bearing assembly, and CV joint. Since it happened while you were driving, not braking, I'd suspect one of the latter two. However, jack up the front and give the wheel a spin to listen for the sound. If it feels locked up, then I might suspect a stuck brake caliper...did the wheel feel very hot when you came to a halt?
That's where I'd start. Good luck!
