The worst kit I’ve ever built courtesy of Le Mans miniatures; very crude, appalling quality, terrible fit and all of the white metal parts missing and apparently beyond the capabilities of LMM customer services to supply them.
Built with the aid of a Fujimi donor kit, after market products, numerous scratch built parts, lots of re-engineering and a bit of artistic licence.
Not a single part was good enough to use without lots of work and as a result, I’m disappointed and glad it’s over.
IT REALLY WAS THAT BAD!
I’m gonna go and lie in a darkened room now.

Cheers, Lee.

Incredible. Please don't tell me it is not 1:1. Hard to belive the kit really sucks. Looks like a one million dollars kit.

Lee, you are certainly a better man than I. I can't believe the aggravation you went through, but the result sure looks nice. You deserve applause for beating it rather than letting it beat you. Now get yourself a nice, simple kit and take a break.

I think it looks great. Nothing to quibble about that I can see.

I watched your build from the start. Very nice work. You took on more challenges than I did with the same kit and yours turned out better for it.

congrats

Lee. My congrats and admiration for finishing this kit to such a high standard. In many years of modelling this is the only kit I failed to complete(If you fancy another one! only joking)

Fantastic build of the most beautiful race car ever, IMO. I'll use your build notes when I build mine! :)

Only just seen this. Great work Lee, all of your pain was definitely worth it, the end result looks superb! I have got the Fujimi version to do with Le Mans Miniatures wheels and decals to add which may be less stressful but the result will be nowhere near as detailed or impreessive as yours, well done!

lee u made a great model.
I hope this kit can be better and more detailed than fujimi. We all are still missing THE kit to make a nice gt40, without getting mad as u did here.

Great one!

Only just seen this too..beautiful job, mate. Can't believe LMM quality is that low, but have wondered as I read an article on him as he seems to knock out a kit master in a month...quelle surpris, or summat like that!!!:iceslolan

BTW, I think his missus is QC (and customer support) at the other end of the flat!:smokin:
