My local (tucson, AZ) said they would charge me $45 to put the codes in the radio which include removing the radio to get the SN and programming. I went to them, they got the radio SN and made a mistake programming, I had to wait an hour with the key inserted and then insert the correct code that they provided - but no charge - Woo Hoo! :D
Got home and followed their directions but it did not work. I figured I must have done it incorrectly. Waited another hour - same thing.
I called VW and asked them to verify the codes. They gave me some different ones. Waited another hour - same thing. :bloated:
I used some jewler's screwdrive and extracted the radio and discovered the dealer copied the radio SN incorrectly. Another call another SN another no workee!
The good news is the dealer told me to come in and they would get it set correctly. We'll see monday....
