Hello to all. I have been brought out of retirement for a friend of mine. She has a 99 Accord and reports that the engine dies while driving. No warning or anything. Someone hooked a scanner on it and shows "random misfire". I think it something fuel related or electrical. Any suggestions as to where I should concentrate on.

Thank you in advance!
Blessings to all and have a great day and or eve!\

Thanks down. I told her it may be the distributor or related. Known problem for hondas. Thank you again!

Believe it or not the majority of people here drive Accords, so more meaningful subject line will bring your problem more reader/ideas.

It is good to know mileage and maintenance history of the vehicle, so spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, all may be a suspect.

I have seen few threads about Accords of this generation dieing unexpectedly. Mine included! That problem could be traced most likely to the problems with ignition switch. But there are very few of them that I could find information for.

Good luck,

Sam

Thanks Sam. I have (a long time ago) changed a ign switch. I will check that also! Will post back when I check it out. I have actually, "repaired" a switch (temp fix).

Thank yous to all who have assisted!

Blessings
