I have a rant

Okay this may offend some of you.....but I don't give a flip.

I am sick of girls in the car scene. Absolutely fed up with them. Most of them are annoying, attention whores that are only involved in cars for one thing: Car Guys. I am so sick of having to go to an off-topic forum to see stupidity by girls that are trying to be cute, sexy, etc. It enrages me, a sensible girl who has enjoyed actually driving and working on cars for many year before I became aware of sexual urges toward the opposite sex.
If I have to see another girl saying something sexual in a forum just so that the guys all post how much they would love to date her and would she be their girlfreind, I will probably hunt the attention whore down and shoot her. ARGGGHHHHHHHHHH.

oh and do we really have to have the words 'cute' 'sexy' 'chick' and 'grrl' in our screennames? that just screams Attention Wore. :rolleyes:

I do much the opposite to get recognized in the car community. I curse so much I'd make a sailor blush, and only when I make a REALLY insightful comment do I get any attention. :mad: It's such a pain and waste of time!!!! I went to a car meet last weekend, started walking around, pretending that the rice I saw really wasn't so bad, oogled over the 300zx there, and not one guy said anything to me until I cracked a joke to my *only* friend there and another guy finally realized that I actually wasn't there with my boyfriend. GAH!!!!

"I'm just a girl, but I'd rather not be" kinda encapsulates it all, I guess.

I am very technically minded, I know ALOT about cars and their innermost workings, most of my current car-guy freinds know this, and quite a few call me or IM me for hints/tips/general knowledge about German, Italian, and Japanese cars(they know I don't do American;) )

I had a guy from NYC IM me the other day to see what I thought about a certain transmission his freind was planning on putting in a Beemer, why did he IM me? because I act like a slut? nope, cause I own a VeeDub Beetle and a Porsche 924 and have a good understanding of German autos. This is also a guy I joke with and laugh and have a great time on a forum with, teasing each other about the cars we each drive(he has a DSM). But he respects my opinion on CARS which means the world to me.

Most girls hardly have the knowledge of what engine their riced out Civic LX has, let alone the fine differences between an M3 tranny and a regular 5 series.

Tangie: I bet in a cursing contest I could teach you a few things, :D I used to hang out on job sites in Pittsburgh with my father(he is in Machine operation/demolition) and I learned from the best of them, and practice regularily!

BWAHAHAHAHA..these are the things that I'm talking about, complete and TOTAL ignorant behaviour, on behalf of a girl. Give us real car-girls a bad name(all 5 of us).

But I figured out that if I buy another Porsche I'd feel better about it all, because all the fakes drive Jap-Imports or VeeDubs.

I call them Car Hoes LOL. And you are right....most of them probably don't know what the hell's going on under the hood. "Like oh my God the oil light went on so I think I need more oil." or "Oh my God I need to get a longer dipstick so I can read my oil level!" :lol2:

Ricer punks who think they are the shit because they got a blue Civic Si like the other 25 guys at the same hangout spot and the girls who think they are so hot (and don't forget the ones who wear the sized clothing they wish they were and not what they are :eek: ) and above every other female within a 5 mile radius are exactly the reasons I dropped out of the "club" scene, that and too much drama. My car is fixed for me, because I like it that way and plan on continue fixing it up as spare cash rolls in here n there....depending on how my new budget goes. It still may spend less than 12,000 miles a year on the road now, but like I said only for me. I could care less if the baddest ass guy or prettiest girl in the scene ever sees my car.
