Just purchased an 04 GP GT1 as a rebuilder, had rebuilt in shop. Got home and have a couple of problems - 1. The car will occasionally start, then die in about 3-5 seconds, all gauges go to highest reading and then go down and car dies, but doesn't do this all the time... Battery was really dead, car was jumped several times to move around shop and finally put a different battery in. The car will start right away if you give it a little gas (may stay running or may stop). 2. Low washer fluid message on the DIC display. How can you reach the level sensor on the reservoir? The person who owned before said it was on for her also. 3. The lights on the dash radio on the left side are out, can still see display at night faintly from right side lights, but wondering if can change a light in there somewhere. Alignment is a big problem right now, but hopefully getting that fixed -back left tire was tipped up, but body shop replaced strut. Pulls hard left - scary, scary on snow (but snowing all the time now so can't get to shop). Has Firehawk GT tires - any experience on snow with these?

Figured out the starting problem - had the throttle body cleaned at the shop and hasn't done the start and then almost immediately stop since (been two days and many starts). I am going to put in a can of Seafoam too to help clean up the fuel system. The sliding problem was pretty much taken care of with an alignment, but the tires are still a little iffy.

The '04 and up GPs with the SIII 3800 engine have issues with the throttle body and drive by wire system. First try cleaning the throttle body. Use throttle body spray cleaner.
We have many old threads on the issue so just do a search.
