i was told i would be able to put in an engine that came out of an automatic into my standard, all i have to do is change the flywheel and a couple sensors. is this true?

If it's the same engine design, all you should have to do is swap the flywheel for your flexplate. What sensors did they say you had to change?

they said speed sensor but i guess my flywheel is good but i need a new throwout bearing which is hard to find seperately from a clutch set. i guess it would be good to do the clutch too... it is ten years old... and the person who drives it is a bit rough with it. maybe change out the starter since she does leave her key turned for a bit longer than most. what would you recommend?

If I were you I would buy the clutch set in case you need it. After you get the engine separated from the trans, take a look at the old clutch and replace it if it's very worn. I wouldn't replace the starter, it's easy enough to do later if it would fail... I don't know if keeping the starter engaged a bit longer than normal would do any real damage anyway.

thank you for all your advice, one last question. what would you pay for a basic 2.2 engine with 100k on it? they already have the engine pulled but im not sure what to ask. he wants $350 but i think ill just offer $275. what do you think? the link to it is here
