diag tools

hey guys im looking for diag tools to start my repairs on my 95 jimmy 4.3vor 236254mi, right now car wont srart .ichanged coil [i broke old one.dont ask lol] have yellow/orange spark with inline spark tester,is this good?. now to my question ,im looking to buy an actron scanner cp9180, vaccum hand pump {with red handle] ,but need advise on a decent fuel pressure gauge that the dheapest but good one would do job and at least last untill i need again who knows when. i go by your advice as your usually right on . thanks k

On the fuel pressure gauge get a extra extension hose that can reach outside rear view mirror or outside windshield for testing on the road.

95 may be OBD1 or OBD11.or in between.
If OBD1 the OBD11 scan tools will not read OBD1 codes.
Also a 95 is sometimes in between and requires a special adapter /scanner to get codes or read out.
What is your engine code?
What diagnostic test port does it have OBD11 or OBD 1 ?

If old type OBD1 you can just jump pins A and B and read code.

Also TBI fuel injection does not have a fuel pressure port on engine.
If so you will need a fuel pressure test adapter to hook into fuel filter line for pressure testing.

Besides cost look what the scanner does. The ones I recommended do both but the Equus 3160 also checks anti lock brake codes but not OBD1. Freeze frame and ability to monitor various items are very beneficial tracking down problems.
