Good start and with a touch of happenstance, as I'm working on one of my own. :)

Cool design and great cause--the Dart is the one that really grabs me.
Don't see too many in CAR-toon style.

Ok
I went out and got some matches and one of those super sturdy bunsen burbers…one that is capable of supporting 2 slabs of nestle cocoa brown ham so to speak and lit a fire under my own a_s.
:)
Now…like I said the Dart has been a art stopper for me for a long time and that stoppage lies in the grill. Not so much this time. Took a few clues from the hot shots on Motorburg and I thought a little simpler. It's lines…that's all…just lines. I”ll make a tutorial and show you how I did it. anyway.

Here I dropped in my shadow and hilite lines. Once again, even though this will be channel rendered and not layers, all the path operations are available to me in channels so I can marry jeri and Jeremy in a sense. lol…that was funny. anyway.

I'll skip the steps but it's the same for the camaro.

Though the grills are in layers right now, it's cake to get them into the proper channels.
I can do a lineart comp now, but I think I'll jump into base color and maybe some tones so my client thinks I'm swell.
:)
yay.

Well, I think the "Dart" has hit the bullseye.
(Okay, the pun was just too hard to resist.)
No matter how many times I see you drop in the shadow/reflections paths,
just can't wrap my brain around how you make it look so fluid and easy.
It's something that makes your work so unique and recognizable.

Hey thanks Blip.
I know we go back and forth but your opinion really does matter to me.

I've been looking at this one for several days now, and there'e just something about the proportion/exaggeration on
the driver's side front fender of the Dart. Maybe it's the height or the the bigger curve coming off from the headlights,
but that side doesn't seem to have as much of the Dart profile as the passenger's side.
Hope that makes some sense to you.
This one is kind of special to me as one of my college cars back in the 70's,
was a 69 Dart GT with a lil' Slant Six. I've tried drawing one myself, but haven't been happy with my effort to captue the profile/front end shape.
I remember you posting about a similar challenge with Roadrunners, then you hit the home run.

Yeah...hadn't updated in a while...the corner got tweaked too much so I smoothed it back out and re-rendered

Nice work on both and if that Dart was red with a black bumble bee tail, than that's
how I always dreamed my lil' Slant Six could grow up to be.
