Hey guy's I've been getting this code ever since I did my B18 swap and I can't seem to figure it out. I can't remember if I had it with the D15b2...I think I did though. Anyways my motor is a B18B1 out of an 95 Integra. It is running Obd1 right now but the code was there at Obd0 as well. I've changed the O2 sensor twice and tried a different fuel rail but still the same. Also I have upgraded the fuel pump to a Walbro 255. Fuel Filter is new. I've taken out the injectors and cleaned them up. The car seems to idle like crap especially when it's cold sometimes it will just die out. The engine light won't come on until about 10-15 minutes of driving and then it seems to run a bit better. The idle smoothens out, I think it goes into limp mode? Anyways, I'm stumped, any help?? Thanks!

we get the same code from time to time on the z6 swapped 88 hatch.. gta's car.. he would get the code on road trips mostly.. since we've got the car i've only gotten the code once.. i did change the gas cap and the 02 sensor.. (leaning towards the 02) havent gotten it since.. from what it happens when the car is running to rich or lean..

I could try changing the gas cap, i'm thinkin I might have a pinhole in the gas tank or something...but would that cause it to run in limp mode??

its most likely the 02 sensor. maybe its not wired properly

Could be not wired properly I guess. Or a bad connection/split wire or something. But I don't think it is something like that because when it was obd0 one wire it did the same code then I ran new wires for the obd1 connection from a completely different harness (straight from the frog conversion harness) so I don't think it's a bad wire

generally code 43 in honda's pre 96, will be the o2 sensor.

Charcoal canister?? Hmm, would that actually cause it? Should I replace with OEM or go with aftermarket?

I've changed this about 3 times!!

if you replaced the o2 three times and it still gives code 43 then you should probably check the wiring between the pcm and o2.

lol I'm positive the wiring is okay because it was throwing the code before with the one wire o2 sensor, and then using the Frog obd0-obd1 conversion harness I re-wired for the 4 wire o2 sensor.
