Electrical problem PLEASE HELP

I have a 2000 4WD 4dr 4.3 auto Blazer and we are visiting family about 4 hours from home.

The rear wiper doesn't work and the door locks don't work. I have been able to unlock the doors with the key fob but not lock the doors.
I have found that the rear defogger will lock the doors. Yesterday the rear wiper motor started to make some noise like it was trying to start (duh duh duh duh duh sound). Today the doors were randomly locking while driving down the road.
Tonight the panic alarm was going off by itself and the doors were locked. I had to pull the battery lead to get it to stop for the night.
Since we got the truck in Nov the blower motor will not work all the time. If it doesn't work I have to smack the dash and sometimes it will come on and some times it does not.

I need any help now because i have access to a garage for some time in the next few days but I don't even know where to start.

Get a wiring diagram and locate and check all grounds under the dash area. Also try wiggling each fuse with the key on to see if you can duplicate the problem. You can also remove one switch at a time and check for any shorts in the wires, or if any look like they have ripples or look lumpy . if so you can go on to isolate why its getting hot or shorting to ground

ok in the day light I found a cut ground wire on the drivers side under the dash

It's under the emerg brake on the door side. Under the diag plug.

The wire has been cut about 4 inches from the screw but I can't find the other end.
Any one know where that would be or where it goes?

Does it have a factory-installed alarm/remote fob or an aftermarket? My guess is the "cut" ground wire is really not part of the problem. It may just be an extra wire from the alarm module that isn't used, but the rest of the wires should be checked for looseness or poor connection.

Another possibility is the driver's door wiring harness has developed some fatigue breaks in the wires...though I don't expect this to be the problem as your truck is too new. But you can try and roll/pinch the rubber part between the door and body with your fingers while moving the door to see if that creates contact.

If you have to smack the dash to get the blower to work it's either the fan speed switch (likely) or the blower motor resistor pack. Hope this helps!
