i say why bother. Nissan is replacing the venerable RB 26 with the new VQ35 which imo is superior.
what i would do is get forged internals for the VQ35 and then use the twin turbo set up that greedy makes or do custom one.

Yeah, I agree with Neutrino. Everybody's all pissed at Nissan for "killing" the RB and SR...get over it. They're at least 10 years old and not the epitome of the engine. New tech rules :)
I say go with strengthed internals and twin turbo setup :)

Sorry, but QR25DE is teh suck compared to SR....as for RB vs.VQ, time will tell...

i think they could have at least updated the RB and SR to be current and kept them around. they were bloody awesome engines. that is, after all, what they did with the VQ. the VQ engine has been in Nissan's line-up for at least 10 years too, they just tweaked it and upsized it.

Although the French worked wonders for Nissans financial side, the product side took a bit of a hit...
Theyre styling has become much more "french"(Quest,Maxima,G35,Titan,Pathfinder Armadad, Sentra facelift)
The VQ was used in the Maxima, however its become a world engine...why....cause it meets emmissions the world over, is stout, makes good power in NA form, and if its good enough for JGTC, its good enough for us...
Besides, Inifniti FX35 has it coupled with ATTESSA...ten bucks says thats the setup(as far as 4WD systems) for the new GTR

IMO the designs took a turn for the better. I just love the new g35 coupe or the 350z the murano the new maxima. I think they are all good looking fresh designs especially the g35 coupe which i find gorgeous

To think the Keith Black Hemi has been around since the late 60's. They are still using it in Top Fuel.
They are replacing the RB motor because in it's base form it doesn't meet the emissions standards required now a days. Too bad some smart cookie didn't develope an alloy block version. The biggest let down has been the overal weight of the engine. That new motor is so new I seriously doubt there are many after market parts available as of yet to the general public. Most are custom ordered for the JGTC teams using it.
Good choice for the 350Z.

Once again I have to agree. The older Nissans looked good, but the new ones are stunning.
Everyone seems to forget though that had Nissan kept it's course, it would probably be gone by now....

well they would use the new 528 hemi but the max size in top fuel is 500 so they just bore the 426's
also till they bring a new version ov the RB engine the VQ will rule the day
