thanks for all your help...the time i had to get a motor and trans back in the van was short so i did not get to put the v8 in at this time..the van did get a new jasper v6 high output and all new parts...a new Monster Transmission ...getting out of the hole was a small feet with the pegleg rear...so it was off to the junk yard for a used g8o from a awd astro...when you do this swap make sure you take the bottom clamps the rear tubs are bigger on the g80 (possi) unit then on the pegleg that was taken out...i did not know this but got lucky i took the one when i pulled the rear and found out putting it in...have been from md to fl 4 times now 75 mph or better..gf is not happy about the snap from first to 2ed...hehe...i like it...and it's fun when you get to a red light and a stock 4.6 stang pulls up it jumps out of the hole on a green light:iceslolan i have a few more things to do but all in good time :smokin:

i also replaced the brackit for drive belts from the steel one to the 2peice from a safari...after replaceing the steel unit 2 times..when one of the steel helper rods brake behind the ps pump it's all over for it...
also did this to my 90 one ton g van using all parts from a v6 but used a bigger belt then the v6 when set up on a v8
also used 5.7 efi body with new injectors on v6 motor flipped air filter lid...
new 2.5inch in high flo cat into 2.5inch by 29inch cherry bomb out to a 2.5inch tale pipe in the stock spot
hotter coil msd
the larger front sway bar
front rims from a g van 6.5inch stock rallys
back rims from a chevy pickup 8 inch stock rallys
custom spair tire rack on back door
wing from a 82 to 91 trans am
next is a new ecm chip and JET Performance 61640 - JET 4th Gear Lockup Kit
