97 gmc 5.7 won't start but

:runaround:97 gmc won't start but if i put about a tbs of fule in the in take it start right up and run like new and if it worm up to run temp it will start back up if i let it sit for 3 hr it wont start up in less i put a little fule in the in take this truck was sitting for about 3-4 years on pavement it has one hell of a boby but if i dont get this truck going my wife is going to kick my >?<

You need to check fuel pressure 65 psi is required, first step in a diagnosis.

i have check fule psi it at 63 psi it has new plug and air filter and fule filter the old fule filter was plug to where i coud blow air thrue it it has started on it owne not wanting to and run good i have a feeling it might be the screan on pressure reglator i also checked cap and roter there was a line going to evap that had a hole in it rubed in it that was repaired help

Have you tried the priming trick? Turn the ignition on for about 10 seconds, then off for 10 seconds. Do that three times, then try starting the truck.
