ls v6 still getting the lean code

Whats up all and rod.. well i have changed my pcv hose and the valve. And there was nothing wrong with it.. have anymore ideas upon what it can be.. O yea one thing i needed to say you dont half to take the head off to get to the valve and the hose... but im lost dont know what else can make it run lean... could be bc the cats have not guts in there and bad o2's?? could it be??

Did you do a smoke test for unmetered air leaks?

i took it to ford and they said they did and it was the pvc hose or the elbow and the valve it self but when i took them off it's like tehre was nothing wrong... im out of ideas man

k so i dont know what else it can be i have changed the pvc valve and the hose and all six coils and plugs and its still running like crap.. not sure what else to do with this car light a cock tail and throw it in the gas tank... anyone got any other ideas

Any unmetered air leaks will throw a lean code.

I think you need to find an independent technician with a good scan tool and who knows how to read it. Have him go for a ride with you with the scan tool in datastream mode. If the technician knows what he's looking at he'll be able to get some pretty good ideas on what's happening assuming the car acts up while he's riding along with the tool logging. It may run you around $100 but that's cheaper than continuing to throw parts at the car that don't fix it.

Ok Thanx Rod ill call around and see if i cant find anyone that i can trust that wont lie... ill post back when i get something new or find something out bc i know there are other people who are goin to have the same issue as me or have allready had it..

Lean code?
I had a Bank 1 lean code and it turned out to be my exhaust pipe on the driver was stopped up. Do like they told me. Whatever bank is lean take the 02 sensor out and start it up if it runs fine without it, its either the cats stopped up or the mufflers. Which ever side is running lean code. Mine was the driver side the screen around the comb in the cat was never taken out and it was pushed up into the pipe so that was giving it a choking kinda thing. But try taking the up stream sensors out and if it runs fine you will know what your problem is

its not the mufflers that have anything in there. the driver side was or had a lot of issues with it so i gutted the cat and the the muffler off so i thought that could fix it but i never put the o2's or new ones back on so im try changing them and see were it gets me.. i took it to another shop yesterday and it put up some code and not sure what it was but... i get to take it back to him on monday and it said that hes goin to run a few tests on it... when he was listing to it he said something about sounding like a valve was out... or a spring idk im done working on it my self he he ... im taking my baby to the hospital (shop)..
