Tuned Caprice

I have once again, decided not to sell my Caprice, they are just so hard to part with! So after finding out the engine I have is an L99 and not an LT1 like I was told, I decided to mess with it.

So what have I done? Tuned it. ;)

And stuck it on a dyno.. At the crank, it has approx. 205hp.. That is 5hp more than a stock L99 at the crank (considering the engine is stock minus a ram air system, but since the car isn't moving, the ram air isn't even effective on a dyno). Since this tune wasn't even a final tune, it's not as powerful as the tune that is present on it this very moment, which has an aggressive spark advance..

Tune was done by Solomon (LT1 PCM Tuning)..

this 5HP over the stock as built L99 is only 2.5% more...hardly worth any amount of cost you spent...including the use of a higher octane fuel.

the ram air mod is a good modification which will increase performance at hyway speeds..

Haha..sounds like you and your caprice were meant to be together!! Since my caprice (like yours) is my first and only car...i have a feeling i won't be able to part with it either, we've gone through too much together lol.
