electrical problem

my headlights on my 1990 sedan deville will not stop flasing and i can hear a ticking sound like the hazards are on..any ideas on what it could be?

Welcome to AF, sounds like a short in the circuit, the h'lite switch has a built in circuit breaker in that year I believe.

It also may be a malfunctioning car alarm. It happened on my '81 Fleetwood.
Try closing the drivers door and cycling the lock open and closed using the door key.
