I know that the cabin air filter was not factory-installed. Where is it located if dealer/owner installed.

When you say left side is that driver or passenger side?

Usually when speaking left and right side on cars you put yourself in the drivers seat facing forward which makes the left side the driver side and the right the passenger side. But the cowl seal and space for a cabin filter are both on the passenger side.

Need specific instructions to replace/install Cabin Air Filter in 2002 and 2003 Grand Prix. The location described has no Cabin Air Filter Cover and the fire wall is solid. The only other place that it might be is under the plastic covering between the engine and the windshield. Thank you for any assistance.

Remove the passenger side plastic trim piece. Should be two fasteners either push pin and/or screw on.
