Intermittant failure. Blower does not function with heater or AC. Pulled/checked and reseated HVAC fuses and blower works. Fuses look OK. Anything else I should check?

Welcome to AF.
Do you have a manual climate control system or the automatic ACC CJ2?
To clarify the blower did not work in fan positions 1-4? How is hi-speed position 5 working?
Any other symptoms like headlight flickering, etc.

Manual control, no blower in any position when set on either heat or AC. After reseating fuses blower functions in all conditions. About a year ago the blower hesitated a couple of times on one occasion but did not recur.

Weird problem. What does it do when mode knob on the climate control unit is set on vent, floor or other positions other than with AC on?

Unable to gather any more data because the blower is now functioning correctly. However, if the problem recurs I would like to be able to fix it. Other posts seem to indicate that the problem is most likely the blower motor resistor (if HI setting works) and possibly the blower motor(if no setting works). Have found the procedure to replace those items in other posts. Any other thoughts are appreciated. Thanks to all who responded.

New info. Blower has failed again. No blow at any speed setting. on heat, AC, or MAX AC. AC does not come on, MAX AC does not function. Note that this is a manual system.
Also, attempted to access the blower motor as directed on another post but removing the panel only reveals the plastic housing for the vent.
No flickering or out instrument panel lights.

Check the 12 volts needed to power the climate control unit. Just to make sure the 12 volts is getting there from the ignition switch. You can do that at the fuse socket. If good your climate control head unit sounds like it may be the issue.
On the blower motor you can bench test it by applying 12 volts and a ground at the blower motor electrical connector. To remove the blower motor remove the three 5.5mm retaining screws and it will drop down.

Same problem. Intermittant failure. It was checked by PepBoys and they thought they fixed the problem - loose wire behind fusebox. Worked fine for several days but then recurred. When blower is working it works under all conditions - AC, MAX AC, heat, vent and all settings (1-5). When not working does not function under ANY conditions under any settings (1-5). Goes from working to failure randomly.
