2000 Ford Taurus Wagon
Last month, the overfill tube on my lower radiator hose broke, so off I went to Advance Auto and purchased one for about $30-$35. Of course the piece needed was attached directly on to the hose, so the whole hose had to be purchased....besides the point, Now I have this light on my dashboard displaying "Low Coolant". Ive checked the tank and the coolant is to the max and I know the coolant is flowing because I de-attached the main hose....
Lets go on a wild guest and say my sensor is going bad, Does anybody know where that sensor is located????
Thanks in advance.

The sensor is located in the overflow/recovery tank. I'm not sure if you can purchase just the sensor or if you need to purchase a new tank assembly. The other thing to consider is, if you are good about checking the fluid level often, unplug the sensor. That should extinguish the indicator, including any indication when the coolant level actually is low.

Now that you know where it is unplug it and the light will go out just keep an eye on your coolant yourself.
