Ok, this car starts just fine if the engine is warm. But after sitting for a few hours, more so in the cold, it will only turn over on the first try. On the second try, if I am lucky, it will pop and then that's it. If I continue to do this, after maybe 10 times, it will start but run real rough and always wanting to die. So I goose it, it goes up to 2000 RPMs and then it will drop to about 500 RPMs and then die. So I have to fire it up again, pump the shit out of it and it will do the same thing. It may stay running, but it will rev high and then low. High then low. After driving it awhile, that will go away, but it always likes to idle high when warm. I have learned to pump the shit out of it all the time now when starting it. It does not take as long as when I have kept my foot off the gas. This car has EFI, right? New plugs and wires. Ok, is this the EGR, fuel filter, dirty throttle body, O2 sensor? Where do I start? I know I will be told it could be any of these, but I need a good crumb trail. Thanks to all.

for your car the 2.2 liter 16 valve electronic fuel injected engine came standard on most of them according to wikipedia.com

does your check engine light go on? if so try starting with codes. go to autozone or check them yourself with this website http://www.troublecodes.net/honda/

i don't think it will be the o2, hmmmm... the plugs would have to be pretty damaged.... could be the plug wires idk

dosent sound like its runnin on all four..while the car is runnin pull a plug wire one at a time to see if there is any change..as far as the up down idle, it could be coolant or vacuum related, which could be map sensor problem.. first pull the codes and go from there
