Yup, the yard is flooded. Had a bunch of snow that stuck, then a bunch of rain and then more snow. So now we have this

Happens every year but still sucks cause who knows how high it's going to get. Anyone else in the same "boat"?

My yard doesn't flood like that (especially since it's much smaller). But it's curved where the middle is taller, so the sides of my property flood when the snow melts or get heavy rains. It sucks because the sidewalk is on the side. Plus the alley sits little higher than my yard so the water floods in from there too.
There's a bunch of neighborhoods close by that are right on cannels and shit and they flood like crazy. I'll see if I can find pics from the last snow melt late last year.

Damn that sucks. My yard doesn't hold much water, my buddies yard on the other hand hold several inches when we get a good rain. Use to wakeskate behind the fourwheeler in the puddles. ahh good times

Haven't had as much floodin as it was the other day. The basement still has about a foot of water in it. There literally nothin down there but the furnace and the water has to come up another 5 ft to get to that. I will take more pics if it gets worse than it was.

Only about a foot or so, does it every year (my 3rd year) took a couple so you can see what I mean. Hard to take pics down there but here ya go
As you can see, the basement is pretty big.

See in this picture the wooden stair that looks wet? There's a stair below that one that is below water, so it looks like it's about 16" deep maybe. Don't mind the crap down there. That stuff has been down there since before we moved in. We literally never go down there.

The upper level has the furnace on it and the water tank reservoir is a little higher than that too.

I go down in mine about 3 times a year. Those 1st set of stairs were just replaced last year, the old ones were so bad that no one dared to walk on them since the drop off is a few feet onto who knows what. We built them in my garage, took about 2 hrs cause we copied the stringers and just cut the treads the same length.

Nice nice. About 98% of the houses in the hood have basements. The whole neighborhood itself is also on higher land than most other places, that's why "Ridge" is in the name of hood. Actually now that I think about it, 'ridge' is in a couple until you get to places like "Riverside" and all places that then flood.

So, we had a bad round of flooding the last couple days!!!!! We had to evacuate and all that fun stuff. On Thursday morning I woke up around 6am and looked outside and I could see the ditches on both sides of my driveway completely flooded. I went back to bed for an hour and at 7am I woke up and looked out again and when I looked out the front windows, to my left the road was completely flooded. My driveway had a 2 ft wide stream flowing through it. The fam and I showered and got our stuff around and we left at 7:40. When we went to leave the stream across our driveway was about 12-14ft wide and about 1.5 ft deep. I drove my explorer and my wife drove her jeep and we managed to get out ok. There was a wrecker and 2 cops at the end of the driveway when we left. At around 4 in the afternoon, the girl upstairs had to be evacuated by boat since she couldnt drive her car out. When she left, she said the water was up to her car tires. That means the water rose approx 2 ft from 6am-7:40am and then rose about 5ft more to get to her tires. Luckily the water never came into our house, only the basement which was filled completely to the brim. Any higher and the living room would have been flooded so we're talking inches.
This picture is from the site link below but this is exactly how it was when we left in the a.m..

That picture above, was takin right in front of my house. My house isn't visible but my mailbox is all the way to the left of the pic. This was how it was when we left in the morning.
