When you get down to the PCV elbow, if I were you I'd closely inspect it and if it feels soft or has obvious cracks, I'd try replacing just the elbow before going the next step and replacing the PCV valve itself. You can get to the elbow just by removing the upper intake manifold. To get the PCV valve you also need to remove the lower intake manifold. I have yet to read or hear of anyone that actually needed to replace the PCV valve.

I've posted on here before that I'm willing to send JPEGs and PDFs of the process for the elbow, I just need an e-mail address to send them to. You can send me a Private Message with your e-mail address.

Actually, as I look at the photos again, it appears that you'll need to remove the lower intake manifold just to get to the elbow. The service manual suggests that you can get to the PCV valve with just the lower intake manifold removed. I gave up and came to the conclusion that at least one head would need to be removed as well. Maybe I didn't fight it long enough....
