It's not the 3800 with a supercharger.

The car started to miss, and the check engine light blinked all the time. My brother, whom is a mechanic I don't get to see often, changed out 1 or 2 of the coil packs and it worked fine for about a day. Drove it like that for a while cause I don't use it much. Now, my daughter is using it to drive to college daily, so we changed out another coil pack(all changed so far were used). It ran good for a few months, now it is bad again, doing the same stuff. The gas mileage is terrible too.

My question is would it be safe to buy new coil packs, or is something burning them up? I had it put to a computer and it gave a very generic answer - could be anything according to it.

I appreciate any help....thank you.

When was the last time the wires or plugs were changed? High resistance in either, could place a burden on the coils. Have it scanned for misfire!
