May 10th Civic/CRX event....

well guys/girls this started with....."can we use the parking lot so some 88-91 civic/crx's can meet up" and it has now turned into a full event, LOL.

the event will be held at SoundMan located at:
5220 South 6th St.
Klamath Falls, OR 97603

there is ZERO room left at my house. if you want to drive here for the event, there is a Motel 6 (http://www.motel6.com/reservations/motel_detail.asp?MotelId=0226) across the street from SoundMan

after the event is over we can go to: Mia & Pia's (http://www.miapia.com) Pizzeria & Brewhouse for dinner. several people have asked about drinking. that will be your chance, lushes :lol2:

SoundMan has also decided to have a huge sale that day....always a plus in my book

Its a gas station / wendys resturant so its gonna be pretty cool ... its undecided where we will be staying that night, either camping at lake shastina which is just outside of Weed, CA or we can make the push for klamath falls ... there is going to be a lot more people attending this event than last year, so I suppose the CA caravan is going to consist of more than 2 cars and 3 people, and ami's house is getting pretty full so we will probably camp that night at shastina, then saturday morning pack up and head straight for the meet.

How to get to the gas station
Bay area people: go 80 east to 505 north to I-5 north and get off on road 8.
Central Valley people and so cal people just go I-5 north for a long ass time ... you will go right past sacramento and woodland.

In both cases it is the road 8 exit in dunnigan CA

Meet time is 3PM, may 9th (friday) ... I might be there a little early and if so I will put up a sign or something on the freeway for you guys but DONT COUNT ON IT!

1 week prior to this event I will start a CA roll call thread, but until then make sure you people that have jobs remember to take friday off and be sure to get some halfway decent camping equipment, or if you arent a complete cheapskate like me, I am sure there are lodging accomadatings in Weed CA.

i really don't think itz that bad...i'm gonna get to utah and be like.....i think i changed my mind.....how do i get home:confused: i dunno.....can't be that hard of a drive..we shall see :rolleyes:

Nope..... Weed is a Junction. it has a gas stations and a yield sign... that's about it.

GTi-VR6_A3, you are more than welcome to show up. we're not like another group (that shall remain nameless) who only allows 88-91 specific. however, i have no room at the pad left. you can motel 6 it or i can look up somewhere to camp locally.

Melt, i think you guys need to come up fri night. shop owner just told us he wants us there parking our asses between 9-10. shop opens at 10 and he doesn't want all of us shuffling around the parking lot all day. here is the tricky part......we kinda had plans fri night. since the guys from DH-racing (http://www.dh-racing.com/) are coming up we planned to go to the track that night. there is a window of time (from like 7-11) we might not be here. i'm thinking you guys need to come fri night.....i just need to figure out the track time and then you guys can figure if you want to come before we go or after we get home. i'll try and find someone to chill here while were gone, but don't count on that.

Hell, I just drove 1800 miles in two days. East Texas to here. Oh yeah, what a blast that was. :D

If anyone leaves early, and wants to crash in Utah, I have plenty of room. If not, we can just schedule a time and place to meet up, and move on from here.

Well if we leave the gas station at say 3:15 assuming everyone is prompt and there at three, its about another 5 hrs from there so we would be at your house at about 8:30 ... if we just camped at the lake and woke up early sat morning, we could be out at the soundman by around 9 or so ....

Alright, well so far this is what me and adrain got planned. He will get here early on thursday, the 8th, and if he doesn't have anyone riding with him, he will ride the rest of the way with me. We will leave a little while after he gets here and head for Kris's. Get to Kris's and stay the night, hopefully;) and then leave early friday for ami's. Now I just hope all this goes to plan, which as everyone knows, nothing goes as planned.

I cant meet that early cause of school ... but if the consensous of most of the CA people is to meet that early then do it ... I will just meet you guys at amis friday or at the meet saturday.

I am not totally sure on this yet but I will prolly be there on like Wed or Tue. I do not know for sure yet like I said but If I do get there I might stay back a wait for yall. But like I said we will see

Heres the new plan :D i am actually gonna go up Thursday after i get off work, so you all can meet up at 3 pm like orignally planned. There should be someone at Ami's so you can just go straight there.

Yeah, we should meet up in Bend on my way down! I'm planning on heading down on the Friday, so if you want to meet up, that'd be cool. I imagine It'll take me about 7 hours or so to get to Bend, so if I leave here at 8am, I should hit Bend around 3pm, maybe earlier.

i talked to marc-os the other night on aim. he says he would be interested in rolling down with you guys. he's in the "portland area"

well guys/girl staying at my house....there is an update. please don't shoot me. here is the story:

while civic rush was here visiting he was offered a job at the same shop jer's works. the job was to start when he moved here in like june. the other installer jer works with had his key to the shop taken away. the next day he quit. until civic rush moves here, jer is now the only installer from 9am-8pm 6 days a week (and noon-4pm on sun.).....

what does this have to do with all ya'all? civic rush will be moving here earlier than planned and will stay in our spare room. i had planned on 5 (bunkbeds rule) of the 15 people staying here to use that room. that doesn't mean the world is coming to an end. just means it will be a little more "cozy" in the livingrooms.

shoot, for all we know, civic rush won't be here until after may 10th. it's kinda day by day at the moment. however, i thought i should forewarn the masses. that way if someone is closterphobic (sp?) or doesn't like to be close to people (LMAO)....you have the chance to find a tent or make other arrangements
