94 skylark 3.1 codes?

I'm working on a 94 Skylark with the 3.1L V6. I need to retreive the trouble codes but I've ran into what I'm sure is a common problem. Even though this car is OBDI compliant the 12 pin ALDL diagnostic connector does'nt have an "B" diagnostic terminal, so I can't use the jumper wire technique. Is there an alternative way get the "Check Engine Light" to flash the codes?
