Rocker arm torque

Dad's 2003 Century needs the LIM gaskets replaced so I've been reading anything I can about the procedure. My question is about setting up the rocker arm torque. The info I've seen doesn't mention rotating the engine to get the cam positioned to take tension off the pushrod. Most of my experience is with V-8s so these V-6 engines are all new to me. Thanks for the help.

Maybe I can clarify my question. Can the torque on the rocker arms be set with the crankshaft in any position?

These engines are a zero lash design, so you don't have to rotate the engine to torque the rocker arms like the old days. I believe your torque value is 20 ft/lbs +30 degrees.
