chrysler 300m

I have a 2000 model 3oom with a 3.5. engine, had to replace valves because of timing belt jumped, got valves replaced and now the coil is getting too much current and blowing the side out of the coil. has anyone else had this problem with this and how it is fixed. Any input is appreciated.
