DTC P0320 is Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed input Circuit Malfunction.

The ignition engine speed sensor input signal to the PCM is continiously monitered. The test fails when the signal indicates that 2 successive eratic profile ignition pickup (PIP) pulses have occurred.

Some causes are:

Faulty Crankshaft position sensor
Loose wires or connectors
Arcing coils or plugs
2 way radio operation (believe it or not)

Ford has a TSB 04-14-9 Which states 2004 Expedition vehicles may have the following symptoms:

Intermittent driveability concerns
flickering of charging system warning indicator
DTC P0320

These conditions may be caused either by chafing or corrosion of the 14305 harness, or an interaction of the PCM with the charging system.

Now that we've gone through that the most common cause of P0320 is no RPM signal from the CKP (Crankshaft Position Sensor).
