Seats & Harnesses Installed (LOTSA PICS)

Okay... got my Corbeau TRS seats installed, and the 3-point harnesses too... The seats are comfy as hell, and the retractable harnesses kick bunches of ass. Installation was pretty easy, but there are a few things that came up... I ended up mounting the harnesses to the rear-seatbelt mounting points, but I want to mount them on the C-pillar, but can't find a decent way to do it.

Harness Mounts... Like I said, I plan on moving them back to the c-pillar at some point, somehow... But it's weird because the retractors have to be at a certain angle to function properly... That angle is adjustable, but not fully 3-axis adjustable, and I can't figure out a way to mount the retractors in a way that the angle can be adjusted to the proper direction...

The front mounts were (for the most part) the easiest part. I was totally stoked to find out that there are mounting locations already in the car, and the eye-bolts that came with the harnesses fit perfectly! I don't know what they are for, possibly floor-mounted seat belts or something, but normally, there is plastic bolts in them, kinda holding the carpet in place, but they are in the PERFECT spot to mount the lap-straps on the belts. The only problem was that there was only one of them on the driver's side, so I had to drill a hole in the exhaust tunnel and bolt it in from under the car

Look Ma! No Belts! Well, I took out the entire door-mounted seat belt assembly, which were actually pretty heavy, so hopefully, it saved a little bit of weight. Only problem is that now my seat-belt buzzer won't shut off, so I'm going to have to figure out how to deal with that problem.

Someone PLEASE tell me what in tarnation is this doodad? I have two of them, they came with the Corbeau harnesses, and I have no idea what they are for, or where they bolt up at. The harnesses didn't have any kind of installation instructions or anything, so I have no idea...

Here's pics of my Si seats which I will be selling, so PM me with an offer if you're interested... The only damage is the upper side-bolster on the driver's seat, which is just worn from getting in and out, but the foam inside is kinda deteriorating, and little teeny tiny bits of it fall out the bottom, so it could probably stand to be replaced with new foam. Other than that, the only other thing is that the plastic side covers are painted bright yellow, but I imagine it would be easy to find replacements or remove the paint.

damn..they're badass...the color of the harnesses is perfect too :) congrats.

That looks so damn cool....and will the Si seats bolt into a sedan or do they need modification....I know CRX seats dont fit in hatches, but hopefully hatch seats fit in sedans.

I don't know if the Si seats will bolt into a sedan directly, but I bet that if you used the sedan brackets and bolted them to the Si seats it would probably work... ??

I dunno....I heard that CRX seats dont fit right in hatches even with after swapping brackets....if you still have the seats after I get out of school for the summer I would probly be willing to buy them, since I can never find any Si's around here with good interiors.

I was told that the easiest way to install harnesses is to put a roll bar or some type of bar thats welded/bolted in so that you can mount them right.

All you have to do is unplug this sensor behind the center benzol. There should be a black box behind the radio but near the floor. take the black box cover off and theres a plug that you can pull which will make the sound go away. turn the key so you can hear the beep and you just can hear which plug it is when you start pulling them. I hope this helps cause its hard to explain things by typeing it.

With the shoulder harnesses, the mounting points should be very slightly the level of your shoulders. I don't know any way to do that in a hatch short of a roll cage, or maybe off a heavy duty rear strut brace. When the mounting points are lower, in an accident, the straps can compress your spine, and cause lots of serious problems. I would look up the SCCA rules for mounting of harnesses, and the Corbeau guidelines as well.
