1.3 liter?

i heard something about destroking a 1.6 to a 1.3 and making rev like hella friggin high. anybody know anything about that. i think that would be pretty sweet ass.

DE-stroking...now there's an idea I haven't heard before. Everybody I know wants to get more torque by increasing the stroke, not less by cutting it down.
But yeah, if it winds up to 6,500 rpm stock, destroking it would make it sound like a Mazda RX-7 rotary engine. You'd have to change the rev-limiting computer, though. What if you decreased the car's weight by chopping the car off behind the driver's seat, and moving the rear wheels up? Less weight would make up for that decrease in torque...

yeah, when i posted that I had got a 1.3 someone said about putting in a 1.3 crank on a 1.6 or something, put u dont get the 1.3's in the USA, we do in the UK, so if u want any parts hit me up on AIM or PM me.

It was me who said to use the 1.3 crank in a 1.6. I personally dont know anyone who's done it, but on this other D series message board, engine builder dudes talk about how the 1.3 crank is the "holy grail" becuase they are awesome for 1.6 but you cant find them in the US.
I dont think its a direct swap, like the block might have to be machined a little or something? but i know they did say to use it.
