(2002 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.8)

The Oil Lights keeps coming "ON" even though the oil has been changed and the pan is full. What is causing this?

Thank You

Most likely it's the oil sending unit. Your best best is to have your oil pressure checked, however, because it could be a problem with the oil pump or the pick-up screen is clogged.

Good luck.

Thank You for responding.

Do you think that an engine flush would help? If so, what type and brand?

Thank You Again.

I did a engine flush once and it resulted in the car burning oil and blowing blue smoke. I stayed away from them ever since. Although there may be others on this forum that like doing engine flushes and it may have worked well for them.

First thing is to put an oil pressure guage on it. Search this forum for what the PSI should be. It is very common to have good PSI, but your oil sending unit is bad causing the oil light to come on.
