On my 1999 oldsmobile bravada turn signal flasher is clicking like turn signal is on even though it is not and will stop clicking only when turn signal is on or brakes are on.

any one have a idea of what could cause this?

thanks

Are your emergency lights flashing? It sounds like the flasher module.

If not, activate them then turn them off and see what happens.

yea emergency flashers work fine

I have replaced the turn signal flasher to see if it stopped and it didn't

The previous post is onto the right thing. the signal, hazard and brake light control are all through a common switch.

there maybe a short to power in the switch when signal off. if power is going to turn signal flasher when switch is off; check power out of the turn signal switch when its off. if you getting power out of the switch at connector 211 pin a3 light blue wire a short to power is feeding the signal flasher. back probe the connector; don't disconnect it.

if yes, most likely will need a multifunction turn signal switch.

the connector your looking for is black and has 48 terminals and is located in front of the instrument panel near the steering column.

I'm having the exact same problem. Not sure if it's related but all of my power door locks stopped working at almost exactly the same time. When I hit the lock button, I hear a relay clicking under the dash but nothing happens.

Is the connector connected to the switch?
