my friend has a 96 cavalier that is in dire need of a master cylinder. it is the type that has the master cylinder attached directly to the ass module. i have read up on how to do this, but experience has taught me that if you can get advice from someone that has done it you can save alot of problems. keep in mind that i have basic tools so if anyone has done one any help or tips re the removal, replacing and bleeding would be greatly appreciated.. sam

The exchange is relatively straightforward, line-for-line and wire-for-wire. The bleeding procedure can be performed without the use of a bi-directional scan tool, unlike some other vehicles.
