I have a 1988 jeep cherokee base model, 4.0-5 spd. 4X4. When it starts up cold it idles low and sporadic until it warms up. I just had the head reworked and they adjusted the accelarator screw so now when it warms up it idles a little high and the idle is uneven. Any advice on the cold start issue and then getting it set back to normal idle when warmed up?
All help is greatly appreciated.

My first thought is spark plugs, rotor, and distributor cap. You`ll probably want to replace the spark plug wires also.
The plugs on these engines are recommended to be replaced every 30000 miles; having owned more than one I can say that interval is right on.
