Alright dude first you have to get a good owners manual. That will show you what to do. Obviously you have to take the door pannel off and youll be able to get at the problem. You might just want to buy a new elec window kit and install it. I know that a lot of connections in the door of most cars are made nby use of rivits. You can drill out the old ones and for ten bucks buy a rivit gun and match the size of the hole you ahave to drill with a rivit and squeze away to fix it. If you've never used a rivilt gun or there is another method of attatching the new componets together you can do it man. Just persevere untol you do it. It will either be you doing it or some guy in a shop who will gop through the trouble to fix it so decide what you eant and do it. DROVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT MAN!!!!!

An owners manual won't help in this case.

You most likely have a common problem shown here.

You can either buy their kit or search for people who have used cotter pins. If this is not the source of your problem, their install guide has detailed steps and pictures about how to take the panel off and get at the window regulator.

If you need a new window motor check out ebay. I got one for my '01 XJ for 130 bucks then got 30 dollars back for the core. At the dealer the same thing was 277 dollars just for the part which is only available at the dealer. The guy on ebay refurbishes them with an epoxy that is way better than that flimsy plastic clip on the new part. changed mine 2 years ago and zero problems.

What do you mean that a owners manual won't help here... OF COURSE IT WILL. Its the same thing as getting installation instructions from an aftermarket company to give you their instructions on how to do it, you just have to make sure that the company has a good product and it all matches etc. Every car I've ever owned has had a kick ass haynes owners manual that showed me how to do everything. If that guy thought I was talking about the manufactures owners manual then yeah thats not good for a lot. Blah Blah Blah. Get a GOOD haynes owners manual. Thats what I meant.

Haynes doesn't produce owner's manuals. They produce *Repair* manuals.
