I thought since I have not gotten an answer there I am going to ask here. Yes I know that this is the Grand Prix forum.

Does anyone know where the best place to go is, to order the tire pressure sensors. Also how much are they. The caps were plastic and were dull looking. I put on some nice chrome valve stem caps on, to make it look nice. The caps froze on and the valve stem snapped off, the tires were low on air:mad:. So I need 3 of the sensors.

I'll do some research. I worked for goodyear for about a year as a temp job and still have a bunch of books laying around. I know they're not real cheap from what i can remember...

I don't see any aftermarket or Motorcraft part numbers, so it appears you're going back to the Ford dealer.

I found a price online, I am looking at around $70 to $80. The they have to be programmed by the stealership. I wonder what that charge will be? I found the sensor ay A&M autoparts.

yes they have to be programed, sometimes you can get by with magnets that is how I did on some cadilacs but I will look it up for you as soon as I get chance since I don't have the program with me here. If you don't program them the system will not see them at all or it will mix up their locations

in the future put some white grease around the threads of the stem before you put the cap on

Ok. you can use magnet, (large magnet if poosible from the 300W speaker)

ignition swithc off then on x 3 ending in run
horn will sound
start at front left place magnet near the valve stem and wait for the horn signal, then go to front right do the same, then RR and RL and you are done.

Thanks for the heads up on using the magnet to try to program the sensors. When I get the sensors ordered and installed I will try the magnet trick first, if that does not work I have no choice it's off to the stealership it goes.
