Replace the stock o2 sensors with a set of BOSH sensors in an 02 3.1L grand prix no problems until 6 months later. PCM code P0414 o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2. Replace sensor reset PCM good for a couple of hundred miles code back on. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

What brand scanner/scan tool was used? Are you sure the code posted is not a typo? The P0414 code does not appear to be a valid DTC for the 2002 model year with GM 3.1L engine.

If it happens again...buy a Delphi, or a good AC Delco sensor. I wouldnt buy bosch if it was given to me. just my :2cents:

P0414 is not a valid diagnostic trouble code for a 2002 model GM vehicle with this or the 3800 engines. If it were as a general generic DTC it would be a secondary air injection system malfunction. The 02 sensor mainly pre-CAT is a possibility but unlikely. Personally, I'd get the CAT converter checked out.

I agree with Bob that since it's a '02 model, have the cat checked as they are a known issue with 01-02 GP's. If the cat checks out, then replace those Bosch aftermarket sensors. Nuff said!
