Hey, Starting this thread due to some unforseen circumstances having to drive my car 200K (seriously injured brother) with the (almost certain) LIMG slowly leaking. Basically the car had some work and back KMs on it (2000) and even more recent coolant flush. Everything was good until we got there then 5 minutes into town the coolant light went on and the tank took 2 Litres of coolant to refill. :uhoh:
The coolant has a fairly milky look while driving now but no real brown scum ontop and the oil is still medium amber clear. have been hoping to fix the LIMG and only put essential KMs on til then.
Anyone have some short term fix to get my car back 200KM or other comments?

Hey, doesnt seem like anyone wants to touch this (understandably). Not really looking for a guess at making the drive, more so general comments.
ex ive heard of some engine gasket treatments/sealers that can prolong leaky gasket life. Ill probably head to NAPA and havea look when ive gota minute. Its been looking ok when i start it up and hoses are tight so the extra coolant went/evaporated somewhere.
Guess its either drive back or pony up for towing until I can afford gasket repairs.

I'm trying to think what would make your coolant milky.. Possibly tranny fluid? I can't make a recommendation on a brand of gasket sealant, but they're out there. I wouldn't drive it back 200km unless i had a ton of collant in the trunk..
