Will a tranny crossmember from a 97 S10 4x4 fit my 98 Bravada?

The crossmember that holds up the transmission on my 98 Bravada is so rusted that I'm afraid it's going to fall apart one of these days. I have found a nice crossmember from a 97 S10 4x4. Does anyone out there know if the S10 crossmember will fit my Bravada. If I buy it from the salvage yard it's mine. No returns.

No, I can't. I would be getting the part through a guy I know that works at a recycling yard. The yard is not in business of selling parts. Just recycling.

I had the same problem in my 99 Bravada earlier this year. I think I bought a brand new crossmember from a GM dealer for about $75, so they should be available. You will need adequate clearance to fish the old one out and put the new one in. Luckily, I had access to a lift.
