Well my Grandpa mobile is giving me problems again!!It started off by the immobiliser not recognizing the the pellet in the key did not want pull the wheel off and replace ignition switch so i bypassed it with some resistors from radio shack(car sat for a few month due to problem)Now its running but when i first start it and start driving it seems to run OK at idle when I start driving it seems to be starved for gas running really rough after a few minutes its will run semi OK but still a little boggy up hill now its also started stalling when i take the foot of the gas so I am now two footing it one the brake and one on the gas and it doesn't stall it only stalls from time to time and some times it stalls every time i take my foot off the gas any Ideas?? A guy at the parts store said it could be the air fuel motor/sensor on the throttle body I found it it has two screws holding it in I saw the new one it looks like it is spring loaded any tricks to changing it?? or can i try taking it out and clean it like you can with say a egr valve?and would it be worth trying one from a wrecker?? new ones are 140 buck cars only worth 500 bucks. Its my beater work car Thanks

If cleaning don't work, replacement may be necessary. JY's are usually not recommended for these, because they may have the same problems. The IAC will not cause all the problems you described; you should check the plugs, wires & for vacuum leaks. BTW, how many miles?

up date its a 93 lesabre 234,000 kilometers 1.6 km =1 mile 3800 v6 it sat for a while when immobilizer screwed up after fix I drove it for a a month or so till it stalled once for the first time then after a few more weeks it has gotten worse I have used injector cleaner Twice I also put 1pint of methyl hydrate in to help remove any moisture from the gas tank if any live up north cold and wet.It also revs high at idle even when its warm when it does this you cant kick it down with the gas pedal doesn't do this that much very rarely not like the stalling and sluggish throttle, tonight i removed map sensor and cleaned with carb cleaner seems to be running a little smoother but still stalling I noticed the air/fuel motor seems like part of the body is missing was getting dark so not sure but it almost looks like the outer casing is missing???Think i will try one from a wrecker first i will get a couple and clean em up and see what happens might throw in a new fuel filter but I don't like quick connects on the gas filter scared they will pop off had it happen on tranny line on my jeep after a repair dohhhhhhhh hate those little plastic clips
