2002 stratus cig lighter replacement

Purchased a GPS for my wife. Turns out her cig lighter no longer works - fuse is good. Is there a step-by-step somewhere (or something helpful) on what it is going to take in order to replace the lighter unit itself? I have read it is kind of a PITA but that's about it.
