I see chevy offers remote start for 2007 and newer. Is there a possibility it would work on my 2003 2500hd?

No. You have to have a LANbus based GM product so that means the new style Silverado/GMC trucks. Besides, the OE ad on unit isn't very user friendly and range sucks. Compustar is a good brand but their remotes are fragile and the units are a little pricey for what you get. Here's what I recomend in the order listed.

I switched out my crappy code alarm for the Compustar a couple years back and everything is great with mine. I am pretty hard on things and its ok. And Pon is correct, the Compustar isnt the least expensive. The Scytek looks pretty cool though.
