Scenario: I walk out to my 02 Dodge RAM 1500, 4.7l this morning (Burr 17 degrees) Start truck but blower does not work, knob is turned up all the way. Go inside to let truck warm up, I’m hoping the fan will kick in while I am waiting, maybe it’s just cold. Go back out to truck to go to work, blower is working. Get to gas station, turn off truck, fuel truck, start truck and blower doesn’t work, 30 seconds later the blower kicks in. Blower doesn’t cut out at any time. I’ve owned this truck for about 4 months now and even when I first got the truck the blower didn’t blow very hard at all on high, I just thought that was how Dodges were. Anyways, I have run across some mention of a relay on this blower. I’m also inclined to think that the blower is going out. Any thoughts on this before I go blowing my paycheck?
Thanks

Yup, the cold temperatures make the tiny bit of lube in the blower motor bushings stiff and doesn't lube well. You can bump the blower housing with your hand to get it going until early next week when our temperatures warm up a little.
Sooner than later the blower will still need to be replaced though.
