Volkswagen T2a syncro

Hello folks,
the first project in 2010 is finished. Volkswagen T2a. modified to represent the syncro version with a bodylift, outfitted as a "go anywhere and to remote beaches" surfmobil. The front mounted spare wheel is a MUST on T2's in my opinion.
The roof rack is made from wire and real mahagoni wood and will feature a surfboard. Can't spraypaint right now due to massive snowfall. The windscreen wipers have been replaced with white metal items from ScaleProduction (http://www.scaleproduction.de/).

Love both versions. The syncro will look really cool on a dio.

Nice work!
I sure hope Welly sends these new bay window T2's over to this side of the pond. I hate that they keep all the good stuff for Europe & only sell a few lame 1/24 models here since this country is so ridiculously in love with 1/18th scale :shakehead
I have no problem with modifying diecast models when we aren't going to get them in styrene.

Nice and subtle modifications you brought to this 'Baywindow' (as we name it).
I like it
