Turns over but won't start!

I drive a 93 grand am with about 100k and a 4 cylinder engine.
Last night I drove home and my car started to act strange. It would only go up to about 30mph and there was a hissing noise, then eventually it would stall. I believe this is a vacuum hose problem, but i had to get the car towed home. The next morning i tried to start the car to move it and it turns over but won't run. Spark plugs work. Never had any problems til last night.
Any ideas?
Thanks

1) Spark ? Yes on all four cylinders!
2) Fuel? Check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail.

hissing noise could be a massive vacuume leak but the fact that it starting slowing down and then quit makes me think it over heated but since you did not mention steam it could possibly be a clogged catalytic converter

There wasn't anything coming from the engine, maybe a little bit of steam but it was also 12 degrees out.
Thanks

Thanks for the input, but I'm a college student so I didn't have money to throw around guessing what was wrong. Took it to the shop, turns out it wasn't a vacuum hose, electrical, or fuel problem. The catylitic converter was gunked up solid. Causing the 02 sensor to not start the car.

O2 does not control engine starting. The problem was that your engine couldn't breathe because of the bad CAT and it probably was starting for a second or two and was stalling immediately.
